Volunteering

The second “T” is give the gift of your time.

Volunteering can be a wonderful way to give back and we have a number of opportunities for you to consider.

At the Masonic Care Community volunteers participate in a number of ways. They assist with special events, coordinate activities and travel with residents on day trips for shopping, and entertainment.

Groups can also volunteer. Two Masonic Districts spend an entire weekend with our residents. They bring gifts to each person, and take the time to visit every household, making sure no one is forgotten.

At Round Lake Camp, the annual work weekend in the spring gets camp ready for the kids. Volunteers rake, paint and handle the ‘spring cleaning” of Round Lake Camp. In the fall, a second work weekend gets the camp ready for the Adirondack winter. There is always plenty to do, and everyone can participate.

You can also donate the third “T”, talent. Performing groups are always welcome to entertain our seniors. Perhaps you have a green thumb and welcome an opportunity to use it, or maybe you would like to take a shift in our Gift Shop. Lending your expertise and personal experience is yet another way to lend your support.
