JOB SUMMARY:  To coordinate the compeltion of MDS, PRI and screen forms in a timely and thorough manner, to comply with NYS Health Code and to fulfill PPS requirements for Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement.  To make Medicare coverage decisions,as well as, timely terminations with appropriate notifications to resident/family and/or POA.

Qualifications:  Registered Nurse with 3-5 years Long Term Care experience working with the MDS resident assessment process as it relates to maximizing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.  Prior experience as an MDS Coordinator preferred.

Must possess title of RAC-CT.

PRI/Screen Assessor Certification required.

Knowledge of Medicare Part A prospective payment system and PPS Medicare Reimbursement System Required.

Knowledge of Medicaid/NYS Health Code regulations.

Prior Supervisory experience preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teaam members and business office staff.

Must demonstrate good organizational, time management and communication skills.

Hours:  8-4pm  Monday through Friday
