Volunteering
Volunteering at the Masonic Care Community
The primary purpose of the Masonic Care Community Volunteer Program is to enhance the quality of life for its residents through a caring, compassionate, and dedicated force of volunteers. Conversely, volunteers will find spending time on the beautiful 400-acre campus to be very rewarding and fulfilling.
There are numerous areas where volunteers serve:
- Gift Shop cashier
- Transport wheel chair residents
- Read mail and write letters
- Accompany residents on shopping trips, to restaurants, and to off campus events
- Assist with a wide range of in house activities, i.e. bingo games, coffee socials,
- Reminiscence groups, story hours.
- Clerical and office support
- One on one visiting with residents
The Masonic Care Community is extremely flexible when scheduling work hours and areas of service. We also offer a chance for students and youths to gain valuable experience during the summer months in a workplace setting. We provide a pleasant working environment, helpful staff, and our residents are very appreciative. Free meals are provided on days worked. We also offer free use of our on campus Fitness Center.
